Another popular cherry blossom spot is the Shinjuku Gyoen. A friend recommended that I go there. She said the park grounds are spacious and Japanese garden landscapes are beautiful. I went as early as 10 o'clock since I knew the park would be packed with people. Good thing I decided to go early. By 12 noon, the crowd was growing and it was difficult to get the shots that I wanted. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed inside Shinjuku Gyoen unlike Ueno Park. Be sure to bring drinks and food and enjoy a lazy morning or afternoon at the park.
