Highballs are a popular alcoholic drink in Japan, and they comprise of a base spirit (often whiskey) and a non-alcoholic mixer which usually tends to be some form of carbonated beverage. This summer, the Shitamachi Highball Festival at Tokyo's Ueno Park brings together highballs with foods that pair well with them, plus music stage performances.
In addition to the drinks, eats, and music, there will also be carnival-style games suitable for children such as ring toss, ball scooping, and shooting.
If you do plan to attend the festival, please note that the operating hours are different on each day of the event.
