The Sumida Street Jazz Festival has been an annual event since 2010, and it includes a variety of free music performances at multiple venues in Tokyo's Sumida Ward. Some of the musicians participating in this year's event include Shinji Takeda, Junko Makiyama, and the Asakusa Jinta band, but the full lineup can be found on the official event website.
The two-day event also coincides with the Sumida One Coin Oktoberfest, held at the same venues. There will be around 20 craft breweries present, so you can enjoy a spot of bar hopping as you enjoy the tunes and the fun atmosphere.
Getting there
The festival takes place at Kinshi Park, Sumida Park Breeze Plaza, and various other venues across Tokyo's Sumida Ward. Kinshi Park can be accessed in just a minute on foot from Kinshicho Station, which is served by the Sōbu Line (Rapid), the Chūō Sōbu Line, and the Hanzōmon Line.
