Despite the museum's name, there's plenty of more traditional sculpture (Photo: Peter Sidell)

Tokyo Contemporary Sculpture Museum

Traditional and modern sculpture, indoors and outside

Located in a quiet residential area about ten or fifteen minutes' walk from Meguro and Naka-Meguro stations, the Museum of Contemporary Sculpture displays a wide range of sculpture, some of it traditional, much of it more modern. There are over 200 pieces on display, with two floors inside the museum building and a terrace and garden outside, and there's also a small tearoom inside.

The museum is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday to Sunday, and there's no admission fee.
