The Ueno Artist Project is an exhibition series at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum which started back in 2017, and it takes on a different theme each year. The 2023 event will run under the theme of “Transmitting Life - Fungi, Plants, Animals, Humans.”

General admission to the event is priced at 500 yen, and 300 yen for those who are 65 years old and over. Students and younger receive free admission.

Getting there

The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is located within Ueno Park, and can be reached within 7 minutes on foot from JR Ueno Station's Park Exit, or 10 minutes from Exit 7 (Tokyo Metro Ginza and Hibiya lines).

As there is no parking lot on site, patrons are advised to utilize public transport wherever possible.
