I often see Ueno Park on Japanese TV whenever cherry blossom season approaches. I decided to see what the buzz was all about. The park is full of Japanese locals and tourists alike. After going to the park, you can spend the rest of the day visiting nearby museums, shrines, Ueno Zoo, or Shinobazu pond. You can even get a free English guided tour of Ueno Park.
