Deep in the mountainous region in Fukui, you can find small, unmanned JR Kadohara Station. Trains only come four times a day to this station and usually not many people visit here. However, once a year in spring, people try to get here to see one thing - peach blossoms! There are many peach trees planted around the station and they bloom brilliantly in late April each year. Surrounded by the idyllic scenery of beautiful mountains, green fields, a tunnel and pretty one-car train, it truly looks like a scene from a fairy tale movie. If you'd like to see Japan of old times, here is the place for you! It takes about 1.5 hours to get here from JR Fukui Station.
