Kamigamo Shrine located in the north skirt of Kyoto, is a famous healing power spot. Pure water brought from Kamo River fills the precincts with comfortable healing power. This shrine has a longer history than Kyoto itself. After Kyoto became a capital of Japan, the shrine has worked as a guardian God to protect Emperor and Kyoto from evil spirit. Inner shrine, Kataoka-sha, enshrines a matchmaking God. The author of “Tales of Genji”, Lady Murasaki, also worshiped this God deeply. Huge numbers of heart-shaped tablets hang down inside.
