American barbecue stands out thanks to its low and slow cooking technique, unique regional styles, and the variety of meats used. If you're already a fan of American barbecue – or perhaps want to try it for the first time – check out the American BBQ Cook-off event taking place this spring at Tokyo's Harumi Pier Park.
Designed to introduce people to this type of barbecue cuisine, the event will include plenty of delicious eats and even cooking workshops if you'd like to learn more about perfecting American style barbecue cooking yourself.
If all of the meat on offer wasn't enough, there will also be another slice of Americana in the form of a cornhole competition taking place at the same time.

Getting there
Harumi Pier Park is located around 5 minutes by taxi (or 25 minutes on foot) from Kachidoki Station, which is served by the Toei Oedo Line.
