Japan's cherry blossom events generally rely on the Japan Meteorological Agency's forecasts. Since blossom dates are subject to change, please always check the venue's official site before you visit 🌸

Running for over 30 years now, the Hinode Sakura Festival is a wonderful way to celebrate the best of the blossoms on the outskirts of Tokyo. The event takes place along the Shioda Farmland Embankment which is lined with numerous cherry trees, creating a stunning visual scene.

Along with all of the blossoming trees to enjoy, the event will also include traditional taiko drum performances and calligraphy displays, plus an appearance by the U.S. Air Force Pacific Brass band. Food and drink vendors will be present alongside vendors selling items in support of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, so bring yen if you plan on making any purchases.

Getting there

The Shioda Farmland Embankment can be accessed in 5 minutes by taxi (or 20 minutes on foot) from Musashi-Masuko Station, which is served by the JR Itsukaichi Line.

As parking in the area is limited, visitors are advised to utilize public transport wherever possible.
