Enjoying the Okawa River on the walk to the gallery is the perfect way to arrive

Wandering the Okawa River in the Temmabashi area of Osaka I stumbled across the Artcourt Gallery.

Curious of the modern building that stood before, going to investigate paid off as I got the chance to view an incredible exhibition. Opened in 2003, the gallery was founded with the purpose of displaying contemporary works and groundbreaking projects that cater to the creative mind.

The 230 metre squared gallery space provides a large area for exhibits and the chance to immerse yourself fully in the work on display.

Currently on show till the 19th of October is the work of Hitoshi Nomura entitled, Body/Perception, or I Who Think I Am “I” The work features self-portraits and sculptures made from the remains of obsolete computer equipment.

I highly recommend visiting the exhibit before it passes, however as the gallery is known for its insightful exhibits, there is sure to be something of interest.
