The Hibiya Park Gardening Show started in 2003 as a way to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the park's opening, and the event is back in action this year after a COVID-related hiatus.
The 2022 event will be held under the theme of connecting with flowers and greenery, and there will be a gardening contest (submissions are welcome from amateurs through to professionals), exhibitions from garden-related companies, stage performances, gourmet food and drink for purchase, and plenty more.
Admission to the event itself is free of charge, but bring yen if you plan to purchase something to eat or drink.
Getting there
Hibiya Park is located just a minute on foot from Kasumigaseki Station's C3 Exit. The station is served by the Tokyo Metro's Chiyoda, Marunouchi, and Hibiya lines.
For those visiting by car, the Times Hibiya parking lot is charged at a rate of ¥300 per 30 minute increment. Please note that weekends during the event are anticipated to be busy, so visiting via public transport is recommended.
