A special event taking place at the Seibu Ikebukuro Art Gallery in August will explore the works of Osamu Watanabe (1980 - ), a Yamaguchi-born contemporary artist who is famous for using resin cream and piping bags to create some truly unique sculptures. Around 35 animal-themed works will be on display at the event, including a "Rainbow Zebra", "Sweet Panther", and "Sweet Boar".
The exhibition runs from 10 am until 8 pm in line with the department store hours, but do note that on the final day the event closes at 4 pm.
The Seibu Ikebukuro department store is located just a minute on foot from Ikebukuro Station, which is served by various lines including the JR Yamanote line, the Seibu Ikebukuro line, and the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho lines. The art gallery is on the 6th floor of the building.
For those who opt to drive, there is on-site parking available.
