Odaiba Waterfront Sunset

Silhouette of Tokyo

Tokyo is not just a concrete jungle. A blue sky, glittering sunlight, and a gentle sea are here in the heart of Tokyo. The shoreline of Odaiba is one of the best sunset spots in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This seaside town has been developed at a very high pace since 1995.

Especially around Daiba Station on the Yurikamome Line, there are many fun and interesting facilities such as the spherical observatory “Hachitama,” Diver City Tokyo, Aqua City Odaiba, Hotel Nikko Tokyo, and others.

A well-maintained running course from “Fune-no-kagakukan” to “Odaiba Kaihinkoen” is good for a comfortable run or stroll. A madder red sunlight draws a beautiful Tokyo silhouette in a short time as the sun sets and an evening glow takes over.

There are many ways to access Odaiba: a 50-minute water bus tour on the Sumida River (from Asakusa to Odaiba Kaihinkoen), a 13-minute-ride on the Yurikamome Line from Shimbashi, or a 20-minute bus ride from Shinagawa and Tamachi (Odaiba Rainbow Bus).
